Interesting enough when visiting clients homes and reviewing their wish lists. I'm obligated to ask if they have a material discard spot I'm able to view and decide if there is anything I'm able to use and therefore save them costs overall. So, in this particular image, the owners wanted to re--vamp an old space that was very much utilizable.
Many items being removed, just needed a bit of quality craftsmanship orT.L.C. to come alive again. Lots of this aged wood materials is by far more quality cuts of lumber and fuller stronger gerth.

The post supporting this Douglas Fir bench here are a creative structural splice bolted above to the outlookers thru bolted inside the finished wall and all material visible are reclaimed wood!

Insulated and Drywalled cleans up the whole space rather nicely. Now a furniture like table that can accept utilitary pullouts  beneath, will produce years of Aid for whatever can be imagined.
